Reports to: Associate Director, Data Analytics and Insights

Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Associate Director, Data Analytics and Insights to build a suite of analytics solutions to achieve the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. The Data Analyst takes ownership of the analytics solution and upholds the importance of data policies and strategies. The Data Analyst also works with various stakeholders to identify analytical needs and translate the business requirements into technical ones. In addition, other responsibilities will include process improvement initiatives, as well as participating in projects in business transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Associate Director, Data Analytics and Insights in development and maintenance of various analytics projects across multiple business functions and teams.
  • Develop financial and operational reports with improving business processes and measuring their success using data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL, Excel, Yardi, SAP etc.).
  • Act as a primary source of expertise in the data structure and workflow of various supporting systems.
  • Work directly with business users to translate user stories into technical requirements for development of full analytics solutions.
  • Research and review large sets of data, using a variety of advanced analytic techniques.
  • Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions, by writing thorough and concise documentation.
  • Handle the new onboarding and enhancement requests for ERP, data lake, and other proposed solutions.
  • Monitor and ensure data quality issues and resolve them to completion.
  • Evaluate query designs, data structure, and data quality to provide recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Work with functional experts on other technology projects to ensure the integration of new and existing business processes.
  • Develop targeted metrics and KPI’s for descriptive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Conduct insightful ad-hoc analysis to investigate ongoing or one-time issues.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g. Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and Excel), as well as problem solving, mathematical and data literacy.
  • Ability to present and develop dashboards using these tools.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Agile methodologies, and Scrum framework.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role.
  • Actively demonstrates confidentiality, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proactive problem solver with a result-oriented mindset and passion for innovation and continuous learning.
  • Must possess a detailed oriented, critical thinking, and analytical mindset.
