Data Analyst Intern

We are a private equity real estate firm known for its vertical integration that specializes in the acquisition and management of value-add manufactured housing and self-storage assets. Since its inception in 2014, the Firm has raised over $200 million in equity capital and currently has over $500 million in assets under management. Our in-house management company is a leader in asset management, we have a tremendous amount of knowledge, blending property management and service provisions to simplify everyday life. The in-house asset management team also employs over 150 property-level staff members at its property locations.

The Data Analytics Intern role is designed for an individual who is new(er) to data analytics and has the desire to grow their skills with a fast-growing organization. The Data Analytics Intern will report to the Data Analyst and work closely with the Investment, Finance, Asset Management and Marketing departments to assist in the analysis and interpretation of data, including the use of Excel and other data visualization tools, collaborate with team on building and maintaining an asset performance database, helping to prepare reporting packages for C-levels and investors, work with leadership to analyze trends, and all tasks related to ongoing data/reporting needs.

This internship starts August 2024 through August 2025 with a potential for permanent full time employment.

DATA ANALYTICS INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to commercial real estate properties, market trends, and investment opportunities.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the commercial real estate sector.
• Report Generation: Create and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to support investment decisions and strategic planning.
• Data Management: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data by performing regular data validation and cleaning tasks.
• Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including investment, finance, and asset management, to support various research projects and data-driven initiatives.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced data analytics tools and software to extract insights and support data-driven decision-making processes.
• Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in data analysis and commercial real estate.

DATA ANALYTICS INTERN QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
• NOT A REMOTE ROLE - In-Person Only - Must reside or currently enrolled in a Las Vegas, NV school
• Extremely efficient with Microsoft 365 including Excel
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus. Full understanding of how to import/export from subsystems (property management software, accounting, CRM)
• Efficient in creating useful graphs, charts, and other data graphics for reporting packages
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to identify trends and highlight them appropriately
• A genuine interest in commercial real estate and investment analysis.
• Possess excellent written communication skills.
