Data Engineer 2

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Engineering team, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions and driving business value through technology. As a Data Engineer, you will develop and maintain efficient data systems and processes by leveraging a range of advanced technical tools and methodologies. You will play a key role in eliminating inefficiencies, optimizing processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop data models and schemas that ensure data quality, integrity, and performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the delta lakehouse.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all data platforms.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business users.
• Monitor and optimize data processing and storage performance.
• Implement best practices for data indexing, partitioning, and compression.
• Work closely with data analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Responds to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problems with continuous improvement mindset.

About You

Minimum

• Two plus years of experience in data engineering and analytics.
• Two plus years of experience working with Power BI or other Data Visualization / Reporting Tools in an administrative capacity.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Data Warehousing technologies, Delta Lake House, and proficient in Azure data services (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2, Azure Event Grid).
• Advanced software development experience using Agile and CI/CD.
• Two plus years of progressive work experience in IT or related field.
• Ability to identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot system issues and determine root causes with speed and efficiency.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.

Preferred

• Experience supporting manufacturing industry.
