Data Engineer

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and Factory Software. As a member of the Data Platform team, you will work closely with a combination of software engineers based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV and a distributed team of data engineers and analytics engineers to advance the manufacturing of our revolutionary multi-day energy storage systems. As the primary data engineer at Form Factory 1, you will also collaborate with our partners across operations, process engineering, quality, and validation to dive deep into complex factory processes to deliver actionable insights and automate data solutions. • Build and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools to enable factory teams to monitor and improve key performance metrics.
• Help design and implement streaming and batch data pipelines to capture, clean, and organize factory data.
• Create automated systems for monitoring data pipeline health, troubleshooting errors, and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, quality, and engineering to design and deliver tailored analytics solutions for factory processes.
• Monitor and optimize the use of third-party SaaS applications and identify opportunities to in-source services.
• Enable the deployment and operationalization of machine learning and computer vision models by building reliable data pipelines, facilitating experiment tracking and monitoring, and creating advanced data visualizations.
• Lead efforts to document and share knowledge around factory data processes, ensuring scalability and sustainability of data solutions.
