Data Engineer-Snowflake

Siemens Energy is seeking a Data Engineer - Snowflake based in Gurugram, Haryana, India. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement (remote/office). The Data Engineer will be responsible for delivering end-to-end service operation and implementation of solutions using Snowflake, ensuring smooth data replication and efficient data service models. A key part of the role involves collaborating with business users and key stakeholders, driving the adoption of Data as a Service (DaaS), and building deep knowledge within the Snowflake model.

Responsibilities include:

• Service Operation and end-to-end delivery responsibility
• Collaborating with business users to ensure effective solution delivery
• Experience in DevOps, working with tools like Jenkins, Docker, and GitLab for CI/CD
• Managing complex projects, handling tight deadlines, and using Agile methodologies
• Critical thinking and problem-solving in fast-paced environments

The role requires 4-6 years of hands-on experience with ETL tools, proficiency in Snowflake SQL scripting, and a strong understanding of Snowflake architecture. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data ingestion pipelines is essential. A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT is required, and candidates should have excellent English communication skills. International collaboration experience is a plus.
