Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at Audible, you will build scalable solutions and models to support business functions like Content, Marketing, and Product. You'll use machine learning and simulation methods to inform critical business decisions, translating business goals into insightful analytics. The role involves creating value through actionable insights and developing models to optimize customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate models to optimize customer interactions.
• Create and maintain data engineering pipelines.
• Invent and implement innovative applications using cutting-edge approaches.
• Use causal inference and develop data visualizations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML experts, and engineers.
• Share ideas and contribute to the growth of the Audible Data Science team.

Requirements:

• MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Math, Operational Research, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Fluent in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Machine Learning Pipeline orchestration using AWS (SageMaker, Batch, Lambda, Step Functions) or similar platforms.
• Experience in Big Data Engineering with Spark / AWS EMR & Glue.
• Experience with Agile Software Development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Domain knowledge of paid marketing, specifically Paid Search and Organic Search.
• Experience with Container Platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/Fargate).
• Experience with Streaming data processing.
• Experience with R, RShiny, and Scala.
